The syllabus for such a vast subject otherwise is difficult to define precisely, therefore a textbook is being prepared by the learned group of scholars that will act as syllabus. This book is titled as "A for Adhyatm" (in English) and "v ls v/;kRe" (in Hindi). These books will be published simultaneously in five different parts as course material, separately for the respective groups of participants / students (containing almost 200 to 300 pages, respectively).

'Book - Part 1' is meant for the participants of group A, 'Book - Part 2' is meant for the participants of group B, 'Book - Part 3' is meant for the participants of group C, 'Book - Part 4' is meant for the participants of group D, 'Book - Part 5' is meant for the participants of group E1, group E2 and group F.

The various chapters of book covers Ved, Upnishad (Vedant), Ramayan, Gita, Bhartiya Darshan-Chintan (including Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism), Bhartiya Rishi-Parampara & Various Sects and Non-Indic Darshan-Chintan. Book contains the preliminary details of these subjects and the MCQs related to same. The contents & guidelines given in the said book shall act as the overall syllabus and the broader framework for the ‘ISO 2026’. Almost 90% questions would be asked from within this book and balance 10% questions would be related to the overall cultural and spiritual awareness of this country.

All the enrolled candidates will receive the hardcopy of this book at their correspondance address (as provided in the registration form), tentatively four months in advance from the actual exam date hence they all will have enough time for self-study and preparations for the exam.

आई एस ओ काउन्सिल द्वारा एक सारगर्भित पुस्तक की रचना सरल शब्दों में कराई गयी है। ‘अ से अध्यात्म’ नामक यह पुस्तक भिन्न-भिन्न वर्गों (Group C to F) के प्रतिभागियों के लिए पांच भिन्न-भिन्न खण्डों (प्रत्येक, लगभग 200 से 300 पृष्ठ) में तैयार की गयी है। 'ISO 2026' की परीक्षा तिथि से लगभग चार महीने पहले, सभी पंजीकृत अभ्यर्थियों को (उनके द्वारा पंजीकरण फार्म में लिखित पत्राचार-पते पर) यह पुस्तक प्रेषित कर दी जायेगी। परिणामतः, सभी को स्वाध्याय व परीक्षा की तैयारी हेतु पर्याप्त समय रहेगा। इस पुस्तक के प्रमुख अध्याय हैं - वेद, उपनिषद (वेदान्त), रामायण, गीता, भारतीय दर्शन-चिन्तन-मत-पंथ (जैन, बौद्ध, सिक्ख सहित), अन्य भारतीय सन्त, ऋषि-परम्परा व विभिन्न सम्प्रदाय, भारतेतर दर्शन-चिन्तन-मत-पंथ आदि। पुस्तक में इन सबके परिचयात्मक विवरण के साथ-साथ इनसे सम्बंधित वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्न-उत्तर भी उपलब्ध हैं। 'ISO 2026' के लिए पाठ्यक्रम व व्यापक रूपरेखा, उक्त पुस्तक में दी गई पठन-सामग्री एवम दिशा-निर्देश के अनुसार ही होगा। लगभग, 90% प्रश्न इस पुस्तक के भीतर से ही पूछे जाएंगे और शेष 10% प्रश्न अपने देश के सन्दर्भ में सांस्कृतिक व आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान से संबंधित होंगे।
